The Centre for Coaching is an international coaching training centre and consultancy
established in 2001. A leading
provider of coaching, psychological coaching and coaching psychology training for coaches,
managers, trainers, psychologists, health and HR professionals in the
Europe. In the past decade it has trained over 1500 delegates
and students. Its sister organisation, Centre for Stress Management,
was established in 1987. The Centres form part of the International
Academy for Professional Development Ltd (IAPD), Centres of
Expertise group. The Centre has
pioneered the development of evidence based Cognitive Behavioural,
Solution Focused, Rational & Multimodal Coaching. Our Course Directors
and trainers have published books and articles
on coaching, coaching psychology and other relevant topics.

ACCREDITED AND PROFESSIONAL BODY RECOGNISED TRAINING PROGRAMMES
Our International Academy for
Professional Development courses are accredited by Middlesex University
and are run at the Centre
or in-house include Certificates and Diplomas in Coaching,
Psychological Coaching, Coaching Psychology, Stress Management & Performance Coaching, & Health Coaching. The Diplomas in Psychological Coaching and Coaching
Psychology are at a postgraduate level.
The International Academy for
Professional Development is an Institute of
Leadership and Management Recognised Provider (ILM) and runs ILM
approved Development Programmes in the fields of coaching and management
development.
The certificated coaching courses are recognised by the Association
for Coaching, a leading professional independent professional body. The
Centre for Coaching is a founding member of the Association.
The courses
are also recognised for CPD purposes by the International Society
for Coaching Psychology and the Centre is an Approved Centre. The
British Psychological Society
approves our 2-day Primary and extended Certificate, Advanced
Certificate and Diploma courses for the purposes of Continuing
Professional Development (CPD).
FACULTY OF COACHING PSYCHOLOGY
The Centre for Coaching has a Faculty of Coaching Psychology. Its
staff are Chartered Psychologists who teach and supervise on the
Centre's Middlesex University Accredited Diploma in Coaching Psychology
Programme. Staff include Professor Stephen Palmer, Dr Kristina
Gyllensten and Dr Siobhain O'Riordan. The Centre and Faculty are affiliated
to adSapiens,
The Swedish Centre for Work Based Learning.
INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Centres and Faculties are part of the Centres
of Expertise group and the International Academy for Professional
Development Ltd. The International
Academy also provides blended and distance learning programmes and a
bespoke Certificate in Work Based Professional Development (Topic
Specialism) (Level 6) programme accredited by Middlesex University. The
Topic Specialism can cover a work based area of your choice such as
supervision, business, therapy or coaching, subject to us having a
suitable academic supervisor.
