CENTRE
FOR COACHING, FACULTY OF COACHING PSYCHOLOGY
The Centre has a Faculty of Coaching Psychology which
focuses on the training and supervision of psychologists who wish to work towards
international accreditation as Society for Coaching Psychology
(SCP) Accredited/Certified
Coaching Psychologists through its IPD or CPD process.
The Society recognises specific courses run by the Centre and Faculty.
Whereas the Centre for Coaching's training division focuses on running
accredited, approved and recognised coaching
courses and workshops suitable for coaches, managers, trainers, psychologists, health and HR
professionals. FACULTY
STAFF, TRAINERS, SUPERVISORS & EXAMINERS
The Faculty's staff are Chartered Psychologists who
teach and supervise on the Centre's Middlesex University Accredited
Programmes. Diploma in Coaching Psychology Programme. Qualified psychologists at
the Faculty include Professor Stephen Palmer PhD MSCP Accred, Dr Kristina Gyllensten
DPsych CPsychol, Dr Siobhain O'Riordan PhD CPsychol MSCP Accred, Nick Edgerton
CPsychol and Kasia Szymanska CPsychol MSCP Accred. (NB. 'MSCP Accred'
represents a SCP Accredited Coaching Psychologist.)
WHY ENROLL ON COACHING PSYCHOLOGY COURSES WITH THE CENTRE & FACULTY?
Psychologists who wish to increase their knowledge of
coaching psychology and/or become SCP Accredited Coaching Psychologists
may benefit from training and input from our qualified coaching
psychology trainers who have been actively involved in the development
of coaching psychology in the UK and beyond, with their professional
body work, research, editing of publications and authoring articles,
chapters and books.
COURSE RECOGNITION & APPROVAL
- The Centre & Faculty courses are approved
by the British Psychological Society Learning Centre for the
purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Specific courses are recognised by the Association
for Coaching.
- Specific courses are recognised by the Society for
Coaching psychology for CPD.
- Most of our certificated courses are Accredited by Middlesex University
and are at undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels.
- The Centre is an ILM Recognised Provider. As
a recognised provider, the Centre and Faculty runs a wide range of
approved coaching and management development programmes which are
suitable for Continuing Professional Development.

SOCIETY FOR COACHING PSYCHOLOGY
The Society for Coaching Psychology
is an
international professional membership body established to further the
discipline and profession of coaching psychology. With the growing
interest in coaching psychology around the world, The Society encourages
the development of the theory, research and practice in coaching
psychology and support coaching psychologists in their work.
The
international aspect of the Society is reflected in their Honorary Vice
Presidents who are based in Australia, Canada, China,
Denmark, New Zealand, Portugal, United Kingdom, USA and Sweden. The Hon
President is Prof Stephen Palmer and the Chair is Dr Siobhain O'Riordan.
The Society for
Coaching Psychology recognises coaching psychology and coaching courses and publishes Coaching Psychology International. The Society has established an international accreditation process for coaching
psychologists and has an online register of members.
EUROPEAN COLLABORATION The Centre
for Coaching and the Faculty of Coaching Psychology are affiliated
to adSapiens, The Swedish Centre for Work
Based Learning.
Delegates can undertake the Certificate in Psychological Coaching
programme in London, England or Gothenburg, Sweden. Course trainers include Professor
Stephen Palmer PhD and Dr Kristina Gyllensten DPsych. |
