Participants must attend over 90% of an individual course to satisfy the attendance requirements.
Certificates of attendance are provided. Full Primary Certificates are
only awarded to delegates successfully completing a written assignment
undertaken at home. See brochure for further details.
All fees include VAT.
Full payment must be made 6 weeks prior to course commencement to
secure any place. Group applications MUST be sent in the same envelope.
CERTIFICATE IN COACHING PSYCHOLOGY
AIMS
To provide an understanding of the psychology of
coaching from a cognitive-behavioural perspective together with a range
of advanced coaching skills.
To become knowledgeable about the development of
coaching psychology.
KEY OBJECTIVES
To understand the nature of psychological
coaching
To become knowledgeable about coaching
psychology
To become knowledgeable of cognitive-behavioural,
problem-solving, solution focused, multimodal and rational emotive
behavioural coaching
To understand the psychological concepts of emotional
management, self-esteem, self-acceptance, self-motivation, focus on
achieving goals, transformation of the coachee into the self-coach (the
coaching career), low frustration tolerance and practice relevant skills
that can be used in coaching
To develop and have an opportunity to practise a range
of advanced coaching skills
To become proficient in the use of challenges and
disputation in coaching
To learn how to overcome blocks in coaching
To make a presentation on an aspect of coaching
psychology or the psychology of coaching
To understanding how to deal with emotional
interference when implementing and/or maintaining action plans
To learn how to maintain their newly acquired advanced
coaching skills
To consider the psychological coaching models and
their application to life, business, executive, performance and
speciality coaching
To practise coaching sessions and skills training in
pairs or triads
Group supervision of recorded or videoed coaching
sessions with coachees, clients or staff o consider what further
training, if any, is required.
Other relevant information:
This course is for coaching psychologists who have
previously attended basic coaching training and/or are experienced in
coaching/coaching psychology practice.
The course is the same taught programme as the
existing Certificate in Psychological Coaching. However, only graduate
psychologists can enrol for the coaching psychology course and receive
the Certificate in Coaching Psychology award issued by the Centre. The
pre-course reading will contain additional material relating to the
practice of coaching psychology.

The Certificate in Cognitive Hypnotherapy / Certificate in Cognitive
Behaviour Therapies & Hypnosis offered by the Centre for Postgraduate
Studies & Research Ltd has been Assessed and Validated at Foundation Level
by The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK) and graduates are eligible
to apply for Affiliate status within The General Hypnotherapy Register (the
GHSC's Registering Agency). The course is a Category 2 course approved by The
Hypnotherapy Society.
This course may be of interest to coaching psychologists who are
interested in using hypnosis to enhance performance with their
clients.
