The Centre for Coaching specialises in psychological approaches to
coaching. The Director of the Centre is Professor Stephen Palmer PhD, a Chartered Psychologist and
coach and health educator. He is Visiting Professor of Work Based Learning & Stress Management at the National Centre for Work Based Learning Partnerships, Middlesex University. The
Training Director is Peter Ruddell. The Director of Distance Learning is
Kasia Szymanska.

The following consultants are involved in running training courses either at the Centre or externally at other establishments: Liz Doggart, Nick Edgerton,
Dave Ellis, Gladeana McMahon, Pat Milner, Michael Neenan, Stephen Palmer, Peter Ruddell, Jennifer Liston-Smith, Lynda Strickland, and Kasia Szymanska.
CERTIFICATED COACHING TRAINING IN LONDON, EDINBURGH, OVERSEAS OR IN-HOUSE
We run regular short and longer courses to aid managers, supervisors and personnel professionals to
coach their staff.
These certificated courses are run at our centre in London, England or in Edinburgh, Scotland. We are prepared to run our programmes overseas and have
run our stress management and coaching courses in New Zealand.
RESOURCES
We stock the self-help book, Creating a Balance, written by Palmer, Cooper and
Thomas, which is available by mail-order. We can sell our enrolled students or organisations we have contracts with, a range of products including
relaxation/hypnosis tapes, videos, biofeedback machines, biodots, daily logs, and personal stress management programme manuals. We are suppliers to the Prison Service, Education, Health and Social Services departments and other recognised bodies.
